:) We hope you have a GREAT summer!  See you in the new school year in September 2015.

Seems like the school year (and MASAP itself) just started.  My, how time flies!  Soon we will complete our March workshop:  Team Building Through Self Reflecting and Emotional Literacy.  The fabulous Devonya Govan-Hunt is back for another interesting session.

Registration will open at 10am for the April 15th training:  Games, Games, Games.  We are thrilled to have Robbie Furr back in Mecklenburg County and back with MASAP.  He has been a tireless supporter of out-of-school time programming.  This one is a must!  Come dressed to play and learn new games to enjoy with your children this spring.

Our final workshop of the year will be May 13th.  Our awesome 4H/Mecklenburg Cooperative Extension Service folk (Racquel McNeil and Catherine Daniels) will present:  Connecting with LEGO's.  This is a hands-on training sure to become a favorite of yours.

We hope you will enjoy your spring break (hoping no more snow or ice days!) and look forward to spring and a fresh crop of workshops.  See you at MASAP!

Yesterday we completed part 1 of Give Robots A Hand.  Beverly Bollenbecker, from Cabarrus Co Cooperative Extension Service, did an excellent presentation.  Twenty-five lucky participants enjoyed an action-filled, hands-on two hour experience.  They will all complete a one-hour practicum at their respective sites prior to returning to Give Robots A Hand, part 2 on October 24th. We look forward to it!  Thanks, Beverly!

First class has been completed!

Hopefully we have had the only "bump" in the road as it concerns this year's MASAP trainings!  Our first session was scheduled for Thursday, September 20th.  We were "bumped" by the church, due to a funeral that morning.  No worries.  The training was moved to Friday, September 21 at the Mecklenburg County Cooperative Extension Facility at 1418 Armory Drive.  (Thanks to Robbie Furr!)

Also, thanks to our wonderful trainers:

Christine Cooper and Donna Smutherman, School-Age Specialists from Child Care Resources Inc who were able to work us into their busy schedules for the change!

The workshop:  Partnering with Families of School Age Children is a mightily important topic.  We are happy we were able to offer it!

Thanks to all the participants who were able to work the change into their calendar.

See you next month for:  Give Robots a Hand--which is FULL.
